I have taken to trying to string them along. I listen to their spiel about the fantastic interest rate or per minute rate or the great price I'll get on the carpet cleaning, and then I"ll say,

"You know that rate is good, but I like to pay 19 or 20%. I have way too much money. Do you think you can raise it up that high?"

This usually stumps them as they try to continue to sell you on the much better deal they are offering. I get to smile and then I hang up.
