mandate

<<an authorization to act given to a representative <accepted the ~ of the people> >>

high crimes & misdemeanors?

how can those who shirk their individual mandates
in favor of partisan pursuits en masse,
possibly
decree
by no better than a kangaroo court fiat
that it is the President who has failed to uphold the mandate of his office? the supreme hypocrisy alone would be enough to stagger
the mind, but it is the potential danger in such self righteous presumption that periodically leaves its blights on history...
the house committee on un-american activities races to mind.

that we revisit such a reprehensible and unpardonable temperament
makes me feel our government has profoundly lost its way.
