I guess that the opening of I-84 opened that area up? Or was it I-80?

Pike county in Pa. was booming for a while as well; but appears to have tapered off.

I grew up in the Northeast corner of Pa. and know Monticello and Calicoon. In those days there was a disparity in the drinking ages between Pa. and NY. Pa was 21 and NY 18. Thus, I know the NY border towns.
