The exclusive distribution rights to Majorette products

At first sight this latest announcement by GRIN seems a
little ‘ho-hum'. After all, these guys are making die-cast
model cars and dolls. Yet these are the toys that year-in
and year-out, are always in demand. A good case in point,
was my own recent Christmas experience. When I asked a
brother what gift I should buy his youngest (a 7 year-old
boy), he told me that despite all the electronic ‘gee-whiz
doodahs' that the kid has, he always ends-up spending most
of his play time with a toy garage and those little metal
cars. So I got him a toy fire station with associated
little metal vehicles. And for a sister's little girl ? You
guessed it - a doll ! So a chunk of my gift money went on
these old-fashioned stand-bys and not a cent on Furbys !

It seems that some things in us change more slowly
than technology.

For my own Furby story, see

Also, I have received some interesting news directly from
GRIN IR by e-mail - will post something tomorrow.
