The best way I can explain it in layman's terms is that BT tends to give the voice channel priority while H.323 tends to give priority to the data, also their voice compression utilizing CELP
( techweb.com ) is outstanding after three years of customizing the code.

There's a lot more involved than that but that's basically it.
