Although I haven't found much on the internet except that patents for sending voice/data/fax simultaneously for point to point over DSVD connections have been given out years ago:

the-view.com

But on the other hand they could be using something else now - I found this on the same RACE page:

6.Will Be There! work with a standard PCMCIA modem
such as a US Robotics 33.6?

The Be There! client requires the Be There! PCMCIA card
or ISA half-card supplied in the client kit. The Be There!
server can be configured to also permit data-only
connections from non - Be There! clients.

RACE is really on the ball eh? Perhaps they are saving a few extra dollars by not updating their web pages - I could have sworn they released a software only client back on Dec 2nd 98. Or, perhaps they felt that this important developement, that required a news release, was simply not important enough for their FAQs page. If they are H.323 compliant why do they keep quiet about it?
I think it was Drakes who coined the term "the gang that couldn't shoot straight". Very appropriate.
