Very simple. Some companies have people that are using something like that Quarterdeck WebTalk or whatever and they wanted to know if going to a BT RAS would interfere with their ability to use it. What they're trying to say here is that if you're connected to the internet through your corporate LAN using a BT RAS it won't interfere with any applications you're already running over the 'net.
