As you may know, tomorrow (1/26 @ 10 a.m.), CPQ is holding a press conf. in NYC re Altavista (see the link below). Most speculate that CPQ will announce it's spinning off/selling DCLK's biggest client. Initially, when I started thinking about I was upset (from a DCLK s/h's perspective) b/c the new buyer/alliance partner, etc. could control the co. &/or cause the recent deal to be rearranged -- uncertainty re the deal. Then, it occured to me. Altavista wanted to ink the deal w/ DCLK before announcing this deal to have an ad strategy ready to go for this portal in the rough. Now, w/ additional capital, freedom, partners & content (either tomorrow or soon thereafter), DCLK is poised to benefit significantly from the dawning of the new age of Altavista. Hey -- it sounds pretty good to me. More eyeballs, higher rates, more press. & if Altavista gains partners, it'll give ole DCLK an opportunity to show 'em its stuff.
