"There are a pile of different technologies out there that "sound like" they're doing the same thing when in essence they turn out to be part of the infrastructure and not the remote access world. I was trying to point out that RACE's stuff will never be part of the infrastructure wether the public telephony system or the internet. But the point you made is very philosophical - where does the RAS world end, and the infrastructure begin. The infrastructure seems to be encroaching on RACE's world -doesn't it - with far better solutions that could be applied to RAS?
