Regarding the cancellation of the "Dark Star" program, it's my strong feeling that they got all they needed out of the project, and will now take it "black." I don't think the statement "because of size, stealthiness is not important" rings true. As the game progresses, the detection equipment improves along with the evader's technology, and if "Dark Star" ran into the wall in its technology, there will be something new, some higher level of stealth and stealth detection. We (USA) does not have the corner on this stuff, and I can't believe stealth in recon aircraft is a dead end. There's probably something much wilder and weirder flying around Groom Lake than the packaged sci-tec PR that surrounded "Dark Star" in the media.

It sure was a cool lookin' craft...

All the best,
M.
