A better way to frame the issue might be, "public" versus "non-public" information. If someone at a company is passing you non-public information, it makes no difference that you are not an employee of that company. If you trade on the information, you are in violation of the law. At the very least, SEC investigators would want the names of your contacts.

So, is the information you keep hinting you have, public or non-public? If it is public and you have discovered this information through ordinary research, then there is no reason why you can't share it with other investors.

Another possibility is that you are just bullshitting. Nothing wrong with that, there is certainly a long history of bullshit on this thread. It just comes with the territory.
