You are going to have to direct your question to the gentleman on RB. The movie isn't showing in my neighborhood yet. What is showing, however, is "Varsity Blues." It was the leading box office hit for its first two weekends; I haven't heard how it did last weekend. The local newspaper gives a couple of pages over to high school students occasionally and prints articles they write. The teen reviewer called "Varsity Blues" sterotypical and predictable, and awarded it 2.5 stars (out of 4). As we said on the thread a hundred years ago, "Speedway" is not Jane Austen. "Speedway" doesn't have to be "Saving Private Ryan" or "Elizabeth" to be a good box office draw. Regards, Suzanne
