I don't have paper backup prior to 1998. I have a program from Tick Data.

It runs in DOS. You plug in the day you want and the contract and it splashes it on the screen.

I guess I'll buy 1998 one of these days and chuck the 1998 book.

I rarely look at SPY. I look at Cash which is probably the same thing. Close enough anyway. I don't disagree that Cash leads the Futures. It's just that sometimes it does not.

I have heard opinions from both sides. Hank Camp believes the Futures lead, Temple Williams believes the Cash leads. I think that it switches leadership from time to time. Like the rotation in other sectors. Last Summer the Banks led. That's typical before a correction. Then the Techs led, typical of a new bull phase.

I don't know who the heck leads right now. I'm probably better off staying in the dark.
