Web Promotion Alone Not Enough, Report Contends
 May 20, 1998

 By the InternetNews.com Staff

Marketers who feel tempted to rely solely on Web-based promotion should re- think their position, according to new research from communications firm USA Chicago Inc.

The study shows that, regardless of company size, the frequency of Web site visits--and subsequently, sales and profits--is directly related to the amount of traditional advertising and sales promotion aimed at guiding traffic to the Web site.

Then re-read News Release regarding Babe-Ruth League Deal

 ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 18, 1998--

TeleServices International Group, Inc. TSIG , announced today a unique fund-raising and e-commerce partnership with The Babe Ruth League, Inc. TeleServices' Compact Connection subsidiary will provide the League with the Babe Ruth MusicCard to sell for fundraising purposes.

The program will enable more than 900,000 youth baseball and softball players to sell the $10 MusicCards, which enable the cardholders to purchase compact disks through the [MyMusicCard] [ thebabecard.com ] e-commerce Internet site at below market prices. TeleServices and the League will share in the revenues generated by the sale of the Cards. The goal of the program is to sell at least $50,000,000 of Babe Ruth MusicCards and CDs.

 are up and running

Then to better understand the "card" concept read:

This old post does even to go into all the other cards
that are forthcoming and already have registered domains
 including the MyTravelCard, MyEntertainmentCard, MyKodakCard,
et cetera, et cetera, et cetera...

 Some points..

 1. Cohesive is designing new websites...Cohesive previously worked on web sites for MSFT and Netscape amongst others and is backed by top Venture Capital firm....Cohesive member John Hwang also has joined TSIG board of directors....

 Link to news regarding Hwang..

 biz.yahoo.com

 2. Regarding CASH situation...company had pp of $10 mil...though has only used $2.5 mil....Terms ie the 8-K were filed with SEC but haven't appeared in Edgar yet.. Babe Ruth League deal may lesson need for all of PP money. BR deal is an amazing demonstration of the "Card" concept... Read through the PR regarding this deal....Figure you have 900,000 wide eyed children selling $10 music cards....like Girl Scouts selling cookies...now if only 300,000 kids participate and sell only 20 cards each...that's $5 X 300,000 times 20 equals 30 mill from card sales alone...Now why buy the card> Aside from helping kids pay for their baseball league, the card has TSIG website address where card holders go and buy their next 20 cd's for just $10.99 which is n average the cheapest price for cd's on the internet....Plus the music card...is just the beginning....

Many are projecting that TSIG will be profitable by the second quarter with significant earnings ...Now compare that to AMZN...Again "the card" is a "no" cost marketing device that retains customers...

 3. Float is large....but not such a bad thing since this minimizes manipulation...However note that a number of other thread participants also have large holdings ...so the float isn't as large as it may appear..

 4. Regarding asset liability ...the company is fully reporting...Note that in the last filing...liabilities were reduced I believe 72%...and the filing doesn't even account for CCI acquisition which was an acquisition of a profitable company with an active group of users already in place..Nor does the filing account for any recent activities.

 5. Finally note that former thread participant Dixie7777 has provided excellent field reports..

 www2.techstocks.com

Also note that REW has visited company a couple of times and just recently reported a lenghty report on his meeting with the CEO Rob Gordon...
