John,

I think youve got your strategy right on (at) the money!! Options with a lot of leverage very cheap. Im looking at January PUTS right now, any suggestions? If you get back to me ill let you know some of my ideas also. As far as reasoning, it really doesnt matter if anything REAL is going to happen, its the perception of the people that matter.
And even if you or i believe its a non-event then we may pull our money from the market in fear of what others ( emotional types ) will do. So in the end its like a run on the banks of the 1920's. I hope it doesnt happen, but if it does I, like you, will have my money in PUTS to take advantage of the CHAOS. But, will our money be worth anything when its all over??? lol.... This is the best Y2k Post ive read and there are only a couple posts. Thats good, that means we have time to get good deals on the Jan PUTS. Soon we may be tempted to unload the puts becuase of the great demand and price we can get.
Please let me know your thoughts on which stocks you think would be good candidates and why, id really like your analysis. Thanks,
