The "exclusive" LDS marketing agreement is for marketing to the providers in the network. There are a couple of companies that also have marketing agreements. These companies have marketing rights for their own networks. I believe one of the companies has a small regional network of nursing homes. There are also other versions of the scanner that are being developed ie, breast cancer, cervical, dental etc. I am not sure who Austin Medical will be marketing the LDS to. I was told that this agreement could actually help NHLT. When I know more, I will post it.
