Capitulation, new lows
I traded half my shares at 17+ and reloaded at 15, only to watch this stock march down thru 14's. Capitulation sell, "throwing" in the towel may be marking the second of a double bottom dip. Unless, of course, someone knows something? Restatement? Haven't heard a thing here.
More anecdotes. Local paper, Burlington (VT) Free Press had Sunday front page story re. IDXC expansion, tripling workforce, etc over next 5 years. Vermont is a funny place, they offer 9 million in local tax incentives (over 5 yrs) to keep this expansion in VT, then complain about "boom" in housing, schools, traffic, and the fact that with .01% unemployment in BTV, most of these high paid jobs will go to out-of-staters. NIMBY's. (yes, i'm probably one also)
Sidebar story tried to explain stock drop, earnings shortfall. Puff piece, but contained explanation of change in buying pattern, as PHAM merger changes typical customer from small group of Drs. to more bureaucratic Hospitals. 30 MM is orders essentially sitting in committees. We'll see, but will take a while. |
