Only the conceit of ignorance can explain your failure to grasp what is actually at stake in Kosovo, Serbia, and the entirety of the Balkans. As much as it might be easier to sit tight and do nothing, we really don't have much of a choice.

At the risk of broadening your horizons, why don't you get out an atlas and study the Balkans. Preferably one that shows the geopolitical borders as they have changed over the past two hundred years. Then read a bit of the history of the region and that of it's neighbors to the south. Picture a scenario where Serbia's zeal for it's own self interests at the sacrifice of all others ignites a conflict that includes Greece. Such a conflict would automatically spread to Greece's thousand year blood feud with Turkey the way fire spreads in dry grass. Turkey shares borders with such historically unstable entities as Iraq, Lebanon, and Syria.

Metaphoric onanism or not; We probably don't have a choice but to try to stop this mess before it get's completely out of control. In the end, it may already be too late.
