ST, thanks for your thoughts! For those who might want another
measure of the market, Paul V. has compiled the 'bullish percent'
of the industry groups followed by Dorsey Wright Assoc., purveyors
of Point & Figure data. But to appreciate the 'bullish percent' [bp]
one does not need to understand P&F charting. It is enough to
understand that bp is the percentage of stocks in a given group
that are on a buy signal at present. Paul's data goes back a few
weeks and so changes in bp can be seen. [the bp is updated weekly].
Best time to go long a group is when it moves up from a low - under
30% - bp.

most of the names are mnemonic, thus 'bpeuti' means 'bullish
percent of electrical utility group'. Dorsey/Wright does have
a free trial and there is a very active P&F thread on SI.
