To all: As far as previous splits and DCLK this
is the first one that I know of. Sure I've seen
a few small internet companies sell off a day or
two ahead of the split but this is definitely few
and far between. Most splits internet and otherwise
drive the share price higher shortly before and
after the split. The jokers on CNBC and many brokers
tell their clients to buy AFTER the split due to the
lower price. Guess what?? Most of the real money
is made from the initial news of the split to the
day of the split itself. I know that the time to buy
and HOLD is generally before the split. I don't
think we'll see much selling before the split unless
we have a tremendous run-up to lets say 250-260. If
we stay in the 200 to 220 arena most of the short
term traders should hang on until the split occurs.
Another point to be made here is the amount of
institutional players in this equity. They are, for
the most part, a little longer term than most of us
(6 to 18 months). Even if DCLK did drop 30 to 40
points this week I would really treat it as a
tremendous accumulation opportunity. This company
is now being watched by several analysts with
several more potential upgrades looming on the near
term horizon. Remember, even if DCLK drops to 150
and splits at 75, YOU KNOW it will run back up to
the century mark within a week or even days. With
this said my strategy is to hold into the split and
reevaluate the situation at that time. Good Luck
and don't sweat about this company. Your in Good
Hands with DCLK!!!
