New software? Not really new....I work on Excel every day. I want to learn how to program it. I want to tell it when to put on a trade and then the parameters for removing the trade so that it can spit out results of a system that I will program in. For example: If the last two bars close higher than the first bar, buy one contract at the third bars close. Place a stop at 4 points. etc....etc..... Then I want to run the system on lots of data and see what the results will be. Now if I have an idea, it takes a ton of time to "test" it as I visually have to go through the chart and write down the entries, exits etc..... I believe the only way to really do this is to know Visual Basic...so I am going to learn it. Well, the other way is to buy Tradestation and learn easy language....I kinda like this route I think. We shall see as I get into it......
