Believe that some time ago, Ebbers had stated that any wireless deal would have to be accretive to earnings. This one will obviously be dilutive. WCOM is already too late for the party(big profits) in wireless. Are customers clamoring for wireless so much that Ebbers would decide to incur more debt in order to provide a service that will lose money or, at best, break even? Not likely, IMO.

How about partnering with a wireless service in order to complete the wcom portfolio of services?
