Hey used ta carry a 22 pistol at all times while fishing or hunting,,today they probably put us in the housgowl and throw the key away :) In case you don't know, Hal, the carry law in Texas is pretty rough for violations ..... the license for a handgun isn't hard to get, but you best have it if you never leave home without one ..... Speaking of that --- Easter Sunday I sent an 'dillo to animal heaven via one of my handguns .... in my back yard .....gggg I was moving some of hanging ferns from the front to the back yard (as per spousal instructions) and I see this hard shelled creature digging in the freshly planted hosta bed .... I come racing back into the house to grab a gun and dispatch the critter .... grabbed a 357 from a drawer in the sun room cause that was the closest one .... Marilyn is laughing asking if I think that'll be enough firepower ..... ran outside and shot it from about 30 feet and my ears rang for two days cause I was under a partial roof ...... dang it was LOUD I told her when I could hear a tad that I was afraid the 'dillo would go under the deck before I could get one of the smaller caliber handguns or one of the long guns ...... so,the rascal ran under the deck to die and now I'm going to have to await him starting to stink to locate the carcass --- knowing full well that I'll have to pullup a few boards to get at it ....... any on the thread here care to come and help me ? ? ?
