I believe the company manufacturing some of these new Java chips is a startup called International Meta Systems Inc.. Started by engineers from some very prestigious companies. Also announced today it has engaged the. firm of Shipley Raidy Capital Partners, LP a NASD- registered, private merchant banking firm to arrange corporate
finance transactions.
============================================
International Meta Systems Inc. (OTC:BB:IMES) designs and develops
advanced microprocessor chips for the personal computer industry. The
corporate headquarters are located in El Segundo, California and the
engineering design center is located in Austin, Texas. IMES currently
has 67 employees, 90% of which are directly involved in the engineering process. IMES has drawn away experienced engineering talent from Rockwell, IBM, Cyrix, AMD, Ross Technologies, NexGen, Motorola, Hughes, and AT&T for the purpose of designing high performance Intel compatible microprocessors.

The microprocessor is an integrated circuit that serves as the Central
Processing Unit (CPU) or "brain" of the computer. This market is
valued at over $25 Billion worldwide and is growing daily. IMES has
been working for some time developing and patenting chips which are
in many ways superior in speed and processing ability to what is
currently available (for full specification sheet and performance
data contact the company).

Intel currently dominates the CPU market as they designed the first CPU
capable of being mass marketed in small PCs in the mid-seventies. The
chip that shipped in the first PCs was the 8088 (IBM PC). This was
followed by the 8086 (IBM XT), the 80286 (IBM AT/PS2), the 80386,
80486, and finally the Pentium and Pentium Pro. With the advent of
the 80286, the CPU market saw competition mounting, and by the time
386s were shipping, AMD and Texas Instruments were fighting for
Intel's market share. AMD remains a capable competitor due to the
fact that the company decided to make their chips "pin compatible"
with Intel chips. This decision allowed the design work previously
done on Intel compatible machines, to be re-used, and the virtues
of the CPU alone would influence the AMD/Intel decision.

Cyrix and AMD are presently the two major competitors to Intel with
IMES being featured in engineering magazines as a good possibility
for a third. This year, IMES will introduce an X86 chip that will fit
standard Pentium sockets and delivers P6 (Pentium Pro) level
performance. Under contract to a major international semiconductor
manufacturer, IMES is developing the Meta 6000, a fully custom
pin-compatible chip with performance targeted to the equivalent
of a 300MHz Pentium. This would mean that consumers could replace
their existing Pentium chips with a chip that is 50% faster than
the most current Intel Pentium. The Meta 6000 design provides full
on-chip multimedia capability compatible with the new Pentium MMX.

Consumers could also order new computers with the Meta 6000
pre-installed at a reduced cost to a Pentium. The upcoming M2 Cyrix
chips are expected to receive much attention, due to the fact that
Cyrix has priced their chips at about half the cost of a comparable
Pentium. In addition, they have made major strides in improving
reliability. If IMES gets further positive reviews from industry
publications, their products will be in demand very quickly as well.

Microprocessor manufacturing requires the use of a Billion dollar
facility known as a silicon foundry. IMES established a strategic
partnership in 1995 with a major international semiconductor
manufacturer to help deliver and market the Meta 6000. Upon
completion of the development and design of the Meta 6000, the
foundry partner will utilize its marketing and sales organization
to distribute the product and compensate IMES on a royalty basis.
In addition, IMES will sell the microprocessor through an internal
OEM and direct marketing sales force.

This major foundry partner is expected to be announced when
production begins. Together with the foundry partner, IMES intends
to capture a modest 3-5% of the chip market over the next 2 years.
If the Company's superior technologies are produced and this
market share is accomplished, IMES will become a very profitable
entity as well as an extremely attractive acquisition target.

There are many other products in the pipeline scheduled for
release later this year including the Meta Expresso which will
COMPETE with Sun Microsystems Pico Java chip. These chips are
used in the market which drive Internet Computers, HDTV, and Web
Coupled TV. I wonder who their manufacturing partner is??????? Any guesses out there?
