Mytec has a new onboard-CPU fingerscanner ready for CTST:

Message 9077699

It uses a silicon chip from Siemens (that can bring its own problems, like fragility and susceptibility to static electricity), but it is "competitively priced" at $299 . . . since the IDX TSP is marked for sale at about $399, maybe a bit less.

Without passing judgment on how well it works, it seems that this is a "too little, too late" effort by Mytec, since there is still no evidence that peripherals in this price range have a market in the computer network world, and because it doesn't do much more than catch up to where IDX was last year . . . not where they will be themselves at CTST this year.

Mytec has had a great deal of trouble selling anything in biometrics.
