Chickens eat a lot of worms, grubs, fly larva, anything they can catch. I remember a few years back when I was raising a few turkeys I tossed a tomato worm into the pen with the birds. It was quite large and difficult for the turkey that first grabbed the worm to swallow it. By then the other birds were aware that there was something going on and the worm was passed about before eventually being consumed.

I will add pork as well. While pigs will be vegetarians if forced to be they will eat nearly anything that is smaller than them, or at least lower than them. Many stories of farmers falling when feeding their pigs and becoming pig food.
