To Varma: What we say on this thread I think DOES
have an impact on the rise or fall of DCLK and
other net stocks. I believe that there are hundreds
if not several thousand small investors that peruse
sites such as this to get a feel for an equity they
either own or plan on owning (or shorting). Investing
has and always will be based on EMOTION and the HERD
MENTALITY. You can't blame people for this when they
are investing massive amounts of money that just a
few years ago were secure in their local banking
instituitions. The CRASH in the DAQ earlier this
week is a prime example of how the media and the
Big Money holding their strings shook out the weak
hands holding tech stocks and in particular net stocks.
Also, companies these days are hiring watch dog start
up firms to monitor web sites for individuals who
supposedly spread untrue or misleading information
about the health of their prospective businesses. If
this is occurring I have NO DOUBT that Big Money is
also doing the same monitoring the positive or negative
sentiment on threads. When sentiment on lets say a
DCLK thread turns BEARISH Big Money puts the screws to
the stock and starts a Panic selling situation similar
to what we encounterd on Monday. To tank the DAQ in
the very middle of earnings week was BRILLIANT!! The
media followed suit with a DEATH and DESTRUCTION mantra
that was swiftly destroyed with the action on Tuesday and
Wednesday.

Bottom line to my message is to stay positive
during the bad times and remember why you bought the
stock to begin with: A great growing business and fine
management!! Another thing we must try to do (tough
sometimes) is to STAY OFF MARGIN!! Every individual should
have a WAR CHEST of available cash to put to work in case
a Break in the market occurs. The timing on these breaks
is almost NEVER PREDICTABLE. Being slightly in cash at
ALL times gives the small investor the leverage to ride
out the bad times and either accumulate shares in his/her
existing companies or diversify into new ones when the
inevitable corrections materialize down there on WALL
STREET. Remember when your in cash the Big Money can
take your great companies into the investment COMODE for
a time but they will inevitably COME BACK smelling like
a rose. Margin will force you to sell at or near the bottom!!
I went through this nightmare back on OCT. the 8th when CPQ
and the DAQ capped weeks of selling with a melt down that
forced me to sell my position in CPQ and take substantial
losses. After licking my wounds I got back into the market
a few days later and have not only recovered my losses but
have produced gains that are FAR and AWAY beyond my wildest
dreams. So stay off margin folks, get ready for a
BLOCKBUSTER week with the internet group and get ready for
SOME GREAT PROFITS!!! GO DCLK!!!
