Thanks for the post on acquisitions. I hadn't realized that DCLK had to wait until June to use the pooling of interest method of accounting for acquisitions. From what I've heard, they will only have a short window with which to use this acct method, as the SEC has signalled it will disallow later this year.

I wonder what sort of technologies would aid DCLK?

1. Most of the metrics companies have merged or been acquired (Relevent Knowledge merged with Media Metrix. And Excite bought MatchLogic last year.) Anyway, DCLK seems to be developing these technologies in house.

2. Design firms such as Razorfish, etc. are unlikely acquisition targets because I recall the CEO saying in an interview earlier this year that this would be a conflict of interest, since ad agencies try to find the lowest rates for their corporate clients, while DCLK tries to sell for the highest rates. I can't recall the exact argument, but this was the gist of it.

Any other ideas for potential acquisition targets?
