Very well said. I am not an investor in Wcom, at least as of yet and if they purchase Nxtl possibly never, but a merger with nxtl will set them back financially and technologically for years to come. I believe it will be a deadweight on the company. Nxtl is not a well run company and why Wcom is interested in acquiring this company is beyond my comprehension.

As a heavy investor in Vod-Ati I would agree that at some point Wcom would be better off buying Vod-Ati out. It would give them solid global clout, cutting edge technology, a more solid management team, and exciting new growth prospects built upon those they already have.

Why purchase a second rate, dare I say third rate company like nxtl, when there are better business synergies to be had?
