I've been getting some PM's questions regarding Insider Trading so I figure I'll just post it to everyone.

Ok, I'll try to break this down the best I can......

The "trading package" referred to on the site... is for the use of the software.. it is credited back to you if you do a certain amount of transactions... not to be confused with trades.. a buy equals one transaction, a sell equals one transaction... a trade consist of both buy and sell.

Depending on who you place your transaction through will determine the amount of each transaction... Island (don't quote me on Island specifically, but one of them, I'm just using Island as a reference) for instance charges a flat fee, while others (Instanet, ect...) might charge you a penny per share and so on... so that depends what your actual trade will cost, it's pretty much up to you... IT is charging a flat rate... the money you pay for the classes is deducted from each transaction and thus credited back to you, the more you use them the more you get back until it is completely credited.. I believe it's $2.00 per transaction...

Now on the other hand, you must consider this, you put a limit order in at say 40 for a stock... the MM's know you are willing to pay 40, so they are going to shop and buy 39 7/8 or lower and sell it to you @ 40, so you have lost $125 on say a 1000 share transaction.. sure you may pay anywhere from $14.95 and up with your online account, but in reality, you just lost money... with IT, you become kind of your own MM and can shop for what you want...

Now, there is another clause "Payment for Order Flow Practices" which is very tiny in your online agreement to trade and is perfectly legal and it basically states that not only are you paying a minimal fee to trade online with them, but the MM's have an account set up where they basically kick back a certain amount per share to your online broker for just putting the business with them... so guess what, your online broker is gonna pretty much put you with who ever he's getting the best deal through and isn't looking out for your interest whatsoever!!! It's all politics, and the little guy gets screwed, but with IT, this gives us little guys an edge...

I urge you all to check into the seminar that will be held in Boca if your schedule permits it... I took my broker to the last one and his comments were "WOW"... he was totally blown away with what he saw...

I hope this helps...
