APACHE: no stable hands ready to pick this? what does it take if not a great report, #1 position and 3 buy+ recommendations yesterday? i could suggest stability in the stock price. i imagine institutions have trouble dealing with 10+ pt changes every day. if that is true how about another split 3:1 to add volume and decrease daily and weekly gyrations? can anyone give an explanation of some of the other (maybe more subtle) factors that go into deciding whether to issue a split? would this 2 day fall of 35 pts (i don't know) been stopped if a split was announced?
