E_TRADE EXECUTION:

Has anyone had this problem?

To make a purchase, I filled in the order screen this morning with a buy price of 26 3/16 and clicked to go to the preview screen. When I saw that the ask had ticked down to 26 1/16 on the preview screen, I used the back button on Netscape to go back to the order screen to re-adjust to the new 26 1/16 purchase price. I then went to the preview screen and pushed the order button to buy at 26 1/16. This was the first and only time I pressed the purchase button.

When I checked my transaction, it showed a purchase at the higher 26 3/16 where I did not place an order and also showed that I had placed and then cancelled and order at 26 1/16.

The crazy thing is, I never pressed the order button at 26 3/16 only at 26 1/16 and I never cancelled an order at 26 1/16. The bottom line was that I lost 1/8 through transactions I did not make. Strange.
E-trade says they will do a web dump that will show all of my key strokes during the transaction. If so, I should be vindicated because they will find a glitch in their system.

Again, I would like to know if anyone else has had this experience.
