"one of my STOP LOSSES kicked in at 128, clearing out half of my position. In a blink she's at 140 !!

I am beginning to wonder about using stop losses in this market. I had the same thing happen to me in ATHM which is why I was able to jump into DCLK. ATHM started to recover shortly after I sold but up until that point I had not booked a taxable gain for the year. Looks like I'll have to sell a loosing stock that I've been holding for several years.
