Hi Dennis, I have family roots in the Topeka area. Goes back to the early 1800s. My Grandpa left there and we've pretty much been east of the Mississippi since then. Another branch of our family left Topeka during the Calif. Gold Rush days and never came back. I don't have any direct contact with those members, but I did see a car dealer (BMW?) in Santa Rosa with the same name. Probably a distant relative. I'm the first official Cheesehead in our family.
