K.J., the interpretive person would see this as just one example that brings to mind many. Anytime a company can provide a solution that helps satisy one of the many government regulations it has a hit on its hands. From this I can see a great advantage in hiring the disabled worker as well - helps the company in being able to hire the most qualified for the job and helps the worker by allowing full access to the office systems in a manner that may be much more convenient to them. Are you aware that there are many city, county, state and federal requirements placed on some areas to ensure cleaner air? What's the reason for all these carpool lanes I keep hearing about? When I lived in Denver there was usually a month or two in the winter when conditions were favorable for them to exceed limits on air quality measurements. During these times they would allow anyone full use of the metropolitan bus system for only 10¢ including unlimited transfers. I rode the bus quite often as it would cost me more than 10¢ to start the car. A worker with the ability to occasionally telecommute from home has similar advantages - it helps the city avoid possible violation fines and it can often bring tax advantages to the corporate itself. It was only one example and I thought it to be a fine one. Here we have mention of a use that many may have never thought of before reading that page. I also have a feeling that others will certainly get the picture from the example, for there could be many large corporates out there right now with a similar situation and no good solution - until now.. (EDIT: leave the two periods, it needs them)
