Historical Charts Amerin Corp. (AMRN): The provider of mortgage insurance coverage to mortgage bankers said it had first-quarter profit from operations of 55 cents a share. The company was expected to earn 53 cents, the average estimate of four analysts polled by First Call Corp. Amerin fell 5/16 to 22 3/4.

Historical Charts CDnow Inc. (CDNW): The online music seller posted a wider first-quarter loss as it spent more on marketing to lure shoppers. The loss widened to 96 cents a share from 78 cents a year earlier. Revenue more than doubled to $22.8 million from $10 million. CDnow was expected to lose $1.03, excluding the goodwill costs, the average estimate of five analysts polled by First Call. In addition, analysts had expected revenue of about $21 million. CDnow fell 1/16 to 18 3/8.
