Isoman, another proven method for lifting roots: wrap the roots in Saran wrap. Duct tape the seams. Rent a helium bottle. Attach tubing through a hole in the bottom area of the Saran. Turn on the helium & let it expand. The light weight gas will slowly carry the root up. Back your pickup truck under the root. Have you brother directly under the root so he can guide it back down. PS> If you're in a hurry, use hydrogen gas instead. Tell you brother to light up his favorite Havana for pre-celebration ceremonies. You stand waaaaaay back.
