Under the terms of the agreement, PanAmerican acquires exclusive rights to market DigiBill in North and South America from Healthwyz. PanAmerican Internet Group and PanAmerican Healthcorp will take joint responsibility for marketing DigiBill.
DigiBill is a healthcare claims processing tool for group offices and sole practitioners in the medical industry that runs on Windows CE-based handheld computers. It is the first product in Healthwyz's IOMS, Integrated Office Management Systems, a line of proprietary office management tools for the medical industry developed exclusively by Healthwyz. DigiBill promises to ensure coding accuracy, eliminate office paperwork, make code diagnosis and procedures easier, as well as improve and streamline the billing process.
Beta testing on DigiBill is currently underway, and marketing efforts, including advertising, sales and educational seminars, are expected to begin in May 1999. Product availability is expected in the third quarter of 1999.
