A young girl went off to college and after a while decided she needed a means of transportation form her apartment to the campus. She was short of funds and decided to write a letter home to her mother requesting money to purchase a bicycle. Her mother promptly sent her two hundred dollars. Meantime, the young girl was able to get a room on the campus and when the money arrived from her mother she decided it would be nice to have a pet for company and she used the money to purchase a monkey. A few days later the monkey became ill and started to shed hair. Concerned, the young girl wrote home to her mother and explained that her monkey was losing its hair. "Sell the bicycle!" her mother wrote back.
