Barbara, you're the one lacking in common sense here. An officer of the company might lie if they thought they would get away with suggesting that something good has happened without actually saying it. But that their lie was a little too cute and not well thought out and ooooops they might have gotten caught. Now there's some common sense that might fit the facts as we all know them right now just as easily. But Pssst. Barbara you used the wrong word here. It is not investigate, as that must imply criminal inquiry. Surely you didn't mean to suggest that now did you? Hahahahahaha.
