I am getting the same calls from Gaines Berland. Their newest is an IPO coming out next week called Apollo. They have a limited amount of shares and can only offer me 300 at $5.75. I told the guy I was only interested in blocks. It was amazing how quickly he came up with 700 additional. I quickly changed my mind.

I did call the NASD and they sent me a report on GB. Fairly clean with only two recent complains for unauthorized trading, I think. The report is at my office..will post more Monday.

So far, between Gaines Berland and Renaissance Financial, two of the same types of boilerroom operations, they have recommended as sure bets LEH, IWRK and OSFT. If I had bought any of them, I would be a loser.

The best way to get these guys off your back is to print these posts, fax it to the "broker" and tell him you don't do busines with this type of scam. It's effective. You can also tell him that you had a dream and God told you not to buy any stocks right now. The broker told me that God didn't know what he knew <g>....
