I have been inodated with stock brokers trying to sell me this company. They all state that with bank deregulation that "IT IS A BYOUT TARGET AND WE MUST GET IN NOW:" In the past when I have recieved such calls (cold calls from unknown brokers) it has been to sell me sothing that they are trying to get their institusional investors out of or just to generate a commission. Since I have figured this out I now just keep them on the phone and let them ramble on for half and hour or so (they do not like to take no for an answer). They will usually push you to the point of buying or hanging up. I see it as a public service to let them ramble on. This way it delays them in getting to the next person who might just say yes to get rid of them. By the way they all read from the same script, and ask the same questions.
If you get a call tell them the last stock you invested in was
Berkshire Hathaway and listen to the sucking sound.
