I've been in this stock for a long time but this has always been a slow board. We talk about dclk and all the internets on the amazon thread though.

There have been a few books on Buffetts strategy (and a new one is out now, I haven't read it yet)... but he states consistently he is looking for profitability first. The next criterion is value. Dclk offers neither at this point although I feel the growth potential outweighs the value aspect.

One of the reasons profitability is so important to him is that he is concerned that a resurgence in inflation can wipe out prior years gains unless the company is highly profitable, at which point inflation can actually help the bottom line... (inflation causing an increase in sales prices and expenditures... if expenditures are small relative to total sales, inflation will actually increase the bottom line).

I know he says "no technology", however he did invest in Frito-Lay which is technology intensive, he might have well invested in Dell, its a similar animal (in fact some Frito execs were just hired by Dell).
