It would be more interesting to see what happens if a big city decides to pull this *after* the service has been installed.

They wouldn't aggressively advertise until the smoke clears and there is a moratorium on the upgrade to HFC. It isn't an issue since probably more than half of TCI's cable customers who have an Internet connection know about @Home. The hullabaloo does make for good publicity since there is little other news. Most new Internet connections go to AOL anyway.

Correct you are...ATHM keeps rolling up the subs while this thing is appealed and it will go all the way to the Supreme court if need be...so let's see...that should be at least 18 months...lol

Sure is plenty of time to get a nice start on the subs huh?

Portland was never even offered the Broadband, that's what is so comical about the whole thing...Forget broadband in Portland....Consumer loses.
