The problem with the statistics are that they don't distinguish between repeat business and new customers. Domestic violence is usually a chronic situation among a small percentage of households. It's as useful as stating one half of marriages end in divorce. As with most things, some people repeat the same infractions over and over.

Mr. K,

<<If that were true, a huge percentage of men are beating their wives and companions, which is simply not true.>> How so, a small percentage of women have a need to go to ER. Of these it was reported that the number one reason is domestic violence. We know that with this type of problem "repeated offence" is common. So this reduces the percentage of the overall population who are offenders. My statistic is correct. It seems you drew an incorrect conclusion from it. I didn't mean to mislead you. Its simply that pezz is on an anti Islam mission and insisted that only in a Muslim country and by Islamic policy could a woman be mistreated. When asked by Ms Harris if there could be any other circumstance in the world, his response was "absolutely not." That is the context of me presenting this information. I wasn't trying to start a new topic. If you have information that says domestic violence is not a problem in the US or even the number one reason why women visit ER, I am interested in seeing your statistics.

Yes it's true. They have been spurred on by the President who raped a woman.
