Looks like AMD has defaulted to Ground Zero.

They seem to have:

a. Abandoned the Workstation segment for the K7

b. Abandoned the Server Segment for the K7

c. ABANDONED the HIGH END DESKTOP segment for the K7

d. Focused on the GAME SEGMENT for the K7 !

That ought to be great for K7 ASPs !

Those gamers love to pay the "big bucks" !

Well Matrox will be a better choice with their G400s once the OpenGL ICD is finished. AMD is actually optimizing the video drivers for 3DNOW for matrox (or so I have heard). The G400 is really going to be the best card for the K7.
