sndiego, institutions have been on the wrong side of the AOL/ATT guess. Now they are finding themselves having to buy back. They will not rush into it because that will get all the mom and pops $100 traders into it and jack the price way beyond what they want to pay for it.
Their plan is to buy a little every day without spooking the market higher. They hope that AOL longs will tire of inaction and give it to them cheap.
Well everyday closer to July 7, earnings season, will slowly move AOL up. We can get a rapid rise anyday that we have a run up, if institutions think they are getting left behind. Remember that they have to own AOL because it is part of the S&P,

Agree with you about the ATHM website. I, too, subscribe to their service, and
have been very satisfied, but I find the scrolling windows on the site really irritating
and rarely use it. However, I wonder how their recent acquistion of Excite may
influence them in website design. I think you're right about the stock heading further
south from here.

As far as AOL - surprised it didn't pop into the low 120's this morning. This
appears to be the news we were all looking for. I remember posting some time
back that Steve Case would come out of this looking like a genius by not paying for
laying the pipes. Believe Rocketman was saying the same thing. I think AOL will
retest it's April high going into earnings.

Doesn't AOL frequently have it's pop-up late in the day? And wouldn't it bode well if AOL closes up around 119? Just going by instinct now.
