Great presentation!

A digital camera with enough flash memory for 10 high resolution pictures and a mini dv tape, could be a superior storage format.

One tape would hold 300-700 pictures, cost a few dollars, and only have to be changed every few days. I would pay a thousand dollars for that, and next year sony, jvc or minolta could deliver it. The camera could continuously send data from flash memory to tape in the back ground. As long as you didn't need to take more than say 10 pictures per minute, for those rare times you pop another CompactFlash.

Thanks Aus .....

for a methodical and well referenced presentation. Your work is much appreciated. I don't know if Sandisk is a Gorilla under the confines of the Game in the same logic that Mike's stated with Iomega or the semi considerations of Uncle Frank. Iomega was my first 3 bagger ever but I left 20X on the table.

I own Sandisk as a pure value play at a time when they are rare.

Thanks again,
Stew
