I came aboard today in hopes the Chicago show moves the stock. I saw Oracle debut their vision of interactive TV at NAB in Las Vegas and it was fabulous. The settop box is going to have the impact the computer did 10 years ago.

Yeh, but in the past there was always a lot of verbiage regardless.

One very interesting show on PBS tonight here in LA...The DIGITAL TV show special to intro the over the air digital TV intro.
One half hour show just to intro and let the public know what is coming...most of what was discussed was the picture aspect of digital TV...HOWEVER...a LOT more was dedicated to the "ENHANCED TV and MULTI-CASTING TV" and how one could click on to various icons on the screen and get MORE INFORMATION on the show being watched...
Intro'd the tehnology to Julia Childs about how people could find out questions about what wines would be good with the dish, what vinegar was recommended....etc
Next was intro'd to This Old House guy who was of course skeptical about more tech stuff, but they intro'ed the technology by saying people could find out about budgets, what materials needed and all this information could be downloaded and saved for another time.
Lots of talk of bandwith and how the signals can/could be divided up into various information bands simulcast with the programs.
Basically the show brought DIGITAL TV to the forefront with the analogy of the change from B&W tv into the COLOR age by the show....
can you guess?
BONANZA....
Dum DumDum DeDum DeDum De DA DA....etc
