I don't know if I should ask this question here, or on another thread. If the latter, please let me know.
TCI serves part of our local area. In the letters section of the Post-Dispatch today were 2 complaints from senior citizens. In one, the author stated that TCI would no longer rent him a filter for PPV, and if he wanted PPV he would have to pay-per-view, it would have to be digital. He was complaining that a lot of senior citizens, on a fixed budget, would have to forgo cable. The second letter complained about, not surprisingly, about high rates and lousy reception. This leads to my question:
Upgrading cable will be expensive, the customer will bear the price, will it be too expensive (remember, our population is aging)? Will competition lower the price sooner, or later?
